About Us
Based out of Central Florida, Fire and Bone Studios is a small, two-person wife-and-husband team who are passionate about art, creativity, and eccentricity. We take immense pride in our craftsmanship and in providing highly detailed, scientifically informed representations of these incredible prehistoric creatures.
Our studio is a place where art and science intersect, where each piece is carefully crafted to capture the essence of and bring these ancient giants back to life. No two pieces are alike, as is so in life.
We invite you to explore our portfolio to see the vast range of replicas we offer. Whether you're a paleontology enthusiast, a collector, or someone seeking a one-of-a-kind piece of history, there is something for everyone as our replicas provide a unique glimpse into the past.
And if you have someone in your life who loves dinosaurs but prefers something a little more whimsical, we also offer a wide variety of custom-printed, articulated dinosaur toys!

OUR STORY
FAB Studios started as a creative dream born of an out-of-pocket idea and hobbyist fixations. Alex and George studied for a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the International Academy of Design and Technology, where they both first met. Since then, they have spent many years happily working in the adjacent IT industry, but craved to do something physical, something artistic... something different and new.
Alex's love for these prehistoric marvels was unearthed as an intersection of her niche interests: a fascination with skeletal articulation and anatomy, an overall love for animals, and a flair for the eccentric, artistic side of things. While Alex is typically more reserved about new ventures, so many exciting doors opened when she discovered the marvels of resin art and 3D printing. She has since become the primary party responsible for operating their in-house FDM and MSLA Printers.
On the other hand, George spent his entire life as a tinkerer and "tryer" with little to no fear. If it could be done with his hands, he'd want to do it at some point in his life. From art to 3D sculpting, computers, mechanical repairs, and more - he had a knack for just figuring it out on the go and running with it. So when George and Alex moved into their home together, setting up a personal workshop in the garage was one of the first things he did. It was there that he found another love for woodworking, both machined and hand-carved. He spent many days making staffs for Renaissance fair costumes when Alex brought an idea forth: What if they worked on a new project... together?
Alex would cast, prep, and paint resin replicas of fossils in all shapes and sizes. George would help with the mounting, metalwork, and woodworking to finalize the finished piece. Both would collaborate to run the shop together.
Thus, Fire and Bone Studios was born - the name coming from meshing parts of both George and Alex's online usernames: phyr (pronounced 'fire') and bone.
